***Vintage Morris WJ-16 Jumbo Acoustic-Electric MIJ 1970's OHSC***
The famous Morris "Moustache Style" Western Jumbo series, modelled on Gibson's renowned "Everly Brothers" acoustic , and made in Japan to exacting standards in the 1970's.
In very good/ Excellent condition overall, this WJ-16 is completely original and has been handled with great care over it's lifetime- having been kept in its original hard case predominantly.
Cosmetically, the guitar shows very light imperfections throughout, mostly consisting of fine pick marks on the pick guard and general surface "scuffs" commensurate with light play use over the years.
There are however no deep dents/scratches to be found over the whole body, and the original finish is still exceptional displaying a deep and brilliant shine.
Features a quality spruce top, Mahogany sides, Rosewood fingerboard and a very finely figured Mahogany back as seen in the photos.
Functionally, all hardware is completely original and fully functional. There are no signs of past repairs, the Neck heel joint is very clean, the binding too is very clean throughout- and the Neck/ fingerboard is straight.
The frets display some slight degree of play wear, with approx. 80-85% life remaining.
The tuners are original and still function very well, providing good tuning stability and easy adjustment in controlled, fine increments.
All electronics functional well without any noises present in playing.
Recently restrung and setup with a low and comfortable action.
Comes with the original Hard Shell Case in great overall condition, the interior lining is very tidy with no tears to be found. The exterior does display some areas of dirt/ marks from age, but the canvas covering is very well preserved for this age.
Overall, a fine quality Morris styled after a Gibson icon, with beautiful cosmetics in excellent condition- and comfortable/easy playability, and a well balanced, full tone.
